Rock Solid Builders, Inc was formed by Butch & Anna Wuchter purely out of necessity after a decade in the construction industry.

Before starting Rock Solid Builders, Butch was a Union Journeyman Carpenter and had built numerous relationships during his career. He had worked in the commercial construction field for many years working his way up to Superintendent with a well-known contractor.  He had run large jobs including many remodels of retail chain stores and gas stations throughout the United States. The toll of traveling and being away from family caused him to switch gears from commercial construction to residential construction.

During his time in residential construction he did everything from framing townhouses to finish work on million dollar custom homes. It was during this time in residential construction that he built many relationships with the homeowners he was working with and they would frequently ask him to do work on their homes. These jobs led to more jobs and before he knew it, there was more work for him then he could handle working for another company. With the help of his wife Anna, who previously worked in quality assurance for a large benefit's outsourcing company, Butch decided to go out on his own and form Rock Solid Builders, Inc.  

Rock Solid Builders, Inc. has continued to grow over the last several years and is proud to carry on Butch’s high standards of excellence with their carpenters. This is recognized by their affiliation with Trex. Trex is the leader in composite decking and recognizes Rock Solid Builders as a TrexPro Gold Contractor. Rock Solid Builders is the only TrexPro Gold Contractor located in McHenry County and only one of eight in the entire Chicagoland area.  TrexPro Contractors only receive the status of Gold Contractor after they have finished a high volume of Trex decks and have demonstrated their expertise in building Trex decks.
